Abstract:
In this talk, Associate Editor Claire Cobley will discuss the latest developments in publishing with Wiley’s Chemistry Journals. In particular, she will introduce the newest journal to come out of Wiley’s collaboration with the Asian Chemical Editorial Society (ACES): ChemNanoMat. This journal highlights the importance of chemistry in nanomaterials research, and published its first issue in May 2015. Finally, the talk will also provide insights into the overall publishing process and give tips on how to give your work the most impact.
Resume:
Dr. Claire M. Cobleyis is an Associate Editor at ChemNanoMat, a new journal from Wiley-VCH and the Asian Chemical Editorial Society (ACES). She obtained her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Brown University, followed by a master's degree from the University of Washington, and a PhD from Washington University in St. Louis. She performed her PhD research on the synthesis and biomedical applications of noble metal nanostructures in the group of Younan Xia. She went on to do postdoctoral work with Joachim Spatz at the University of Heidelberg and Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems before joining Wiley-VCH in February 2013. She worked forChemistry—A European Journaluntil the end of 2014, when she began preparing for the launch of ChemNanoMat.
